Proof, 45 seconds early.

A dashcam for your glasses. It keeps the last 45 seconds in memory and saves them when you double tap — or on its own if it detects a crash (beta).

Nobody presses record before the crash.

So it keeps the last 45 seconds, always. Double tap to save them — or let it save by itself after a crash (beta).Beta

23 seconds, all real.

Shot with the glasses. No actor, no CGI, nobody identifiable.

How it works

  1. Mascot sitting alert
    01

    It watches

45 s in memory, never on disk.

  2. Mascot looking back
    02

    Double tap. Or not.

The last 45 s go to Photos. After a crash, it saves by itself (beta).

  3. Happy mascot
    03

    Show it

To the police, the insurer, the other party. Not to social media.

Good moments count too: double-tap to keep the last 45 s of a ride, without saying a word.

What it actually saves.

A real clip from the app, at the default 360p, 24 fps. Low on purpose: it's the most reliable setting over Bluetooth today, and it keeps plates unreadable on this page. 504p and 720p (experimental) are in the settings.

45 s · saved by double tap · Paris

It keeps. It doesn't watch.

  • No recording. A ride without incident leaves no trace.

  • The white LED is our ally. Never hidden, and shown in the app.

  • The clip stays on your phone. Video goes straight from the glasses to your phone and stays there. No cloud, no account, no server of ours. Public code.

  • A clip is evidence, not content.

  • The clip shows what the camera saw, like any dashcam. Dashhound itself never identifies anyone: no face, voice or plate recognition. Ever.

  • Honest about limits. See right below.

Work in progress.

Honest about what doesn't work yet. Updated as we fix it.

  • Waiting on platformAny app using the glasses microphone (a WhatsApp call, a voice message) pauses the camera. Dashhound keeps what it filmed and resumes about 4 s after.
  • Waiting on platformBluetooth music and GPS voice are cut while the camera streams (platform issue #256).
  • Waiting on platformVoice launch — the platform doesn't expose the permission yet.
  • Hardware limitThe glasses last roughly 35–45 minutes of dashcam: about one ride.
  • Developer previewDeveloper Mode required. Not on the App Store.
  • PlannediPhone only for now.
